Comedy Night benefits military, police, fire, EMS personnel with disabilities
Hope for Heroes Foundation’s New England Chapter is holding a fund-raiser, Hope for Heroes Comedy Night, on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 1st and 10 Sports Bar and Grill, 507 Danbury Road, New Milford.
The event is open to the public. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and show begins at 8:30.
The nonprofit Hope for Heroes Foundation combines a passion for outdoor activities with emotional and spiritual healing for military, fire, police and EMS personnel who have experienced life-altering disabilities while in the line of duty.
Outings, events, programs and outdoor activities organized and sponsored by the foundation provide a sense of personal accomplishment and bonding for these heroes and their caregivers, families, and friends.
Headlining the Hope for Heroes Comedy Night will be Robin Fox, the 2012 grand winner of the Ladies of Laughter Competition and the winner of the 2010 Gilda’s Club Laugh-Off. She was Philadelphia’s Funniest first runner-up.
Also performing will be Tim Hayes, emcee, who recently won the Sarcasm Comedy Competition. He has appeared at some of the top venues in the tri-state area including Gotham, Broadway and Stand-Up NY comedy clubs in New York City.
