Shelton’s Tiger Cub Scout Den 5 met at Wells Hollow Creamery to learn about a historical place in Shelton. The first grade Cub Scouts are working towards earning their achievement badge as a requirement for being a Tiger Scout.
“The Cubs really had a blast at the farm learning about the history of the Wells’ farming business,” said Lisa Delventhal Cartolano, Den leader. “All of the Scouts asked questions and had a personal tour from Jamie Wells learning about some of the amazing work that farmers do to run a farm. It was a fantastic experience for them to see an important part of what farming in Shelton was like long ago and see a two-week-old baby cow.”
