Dachshund fanatics invited to Fun Day at park
Connecticut Yankee Dachshund Club invites dachshund fanatics to its Fun Day on Saturday, Aug. 16 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Old Mine Park in Trumbull.
Learn more about the breed with informational clinics and a Meet the Breed event with all three coat types. Also, obedience demos, fun agility, and games that visitors and their dachshunds can participate in will be offered.
There will be dachshund racing and contests for best trick, tail wagger, costume, etc. Nail clipping and micro-chipping will be offered for a nominal cost, and fun dachshund items will be sold.
Pack a lunch and also bring a chair and water. Available for purchase will be hot dogs (of course) and soda.
Entry cost is $10 per dog, which allows participates to join in as many events as they would like.

72-acre Old Mine Park is at 198 Old Mine Road, Trumbull, which is off Route 111 near the intersection with Route 25 (close to the Monroe border).
