Elder service council names new chairperson

The Greater Bridgeport Elder Service Council (GBESC) has elected Ann Jamison of Senior Living Options as its new chairperson.

GBESC is a consortium of senior healthcare professionals and representatives from elder care agencies and institutions from the Greater Bridgeport area, including Shelton, Bridgeport, Stratford, Monroe, Trumbull, Easton and Fairfield.

The council seeks to enhance the quality of life of seniors by improving the coordination of services and providing educational forums for industry professionals.

Jamison is senior advisor and founder of Senior Living Options, which provides free senior living and care guidance for seniors and their families.

Senior Living Options offers assistance and local market knowledge of independent/retirement living, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living, dementia/Alzheimer’s care and at-home care.

Working with families

Jamison is an experienced senior advisor with more than six years of experience in working with hundreds of families to find homelike environments or at-home care for themselves or their senior parents.
