Events at the Branch: Storytime, dancing, adventures in China and more

Toddler Movement — Wednesdays, May 29 and June 5, 11 a.m. Songs, dance, action poems and musical instruments highlight a half hour for preschoolers 2-4 and caregivers.

Storytime for 3s & 4s — Thursdays, May 30 and June 6, 11 a.m. Three and four year olds hear stories.

Spanish with Sandra — Friday, May 31, 2:45 p.m. Children 3-5 years and their caregivers immerse in 30 minutes of Spanish language games, songs and stories; register in advance.

Baby Rhyme Time — Tuesdays, June 4 and 11, 11 a.m. Infants and non walkers discover nursery rhymes and action songs with their caregivers; followed by open play time.

As I See It — Wednesday, June 12, 1 p.m. Friends of the Shelton Libraries offer a film viewing and discussion over desserts; new members and opinions welcome.

Wandering in China — Wednesday, June 12, 6:30 p.m. Travel writer, photographer and Shelton resident J.M. Bhandary will share scenes from his trip exploring Beijing, Shanghai, Xian (home of the Terracotta soldiers), cruising down the Yangtze River and crossing the Three River Gorges Dam. He is originally from Mangalore and his wife, Hilkka Bhandary, is from Finland. Jay and Hilkka have been residents of Shelton for the past 37 years.
