Fancy Nancy children’s author coming to Shelton for talk, book-signing
New York Times best-selling author Jane O’Connor will visit Shelton on Saturday, June 13 at 11 a.m.
O’Connor is the creator of the precocious and darling character, Fancy Nancy, the star of a series of popular children’s books that range from pictures books for the little ones to chapter books for middle graders.
She is an editor at a major publishing house and has written more than 70 books for children.
The event, arranged by Written Words Bookstore, will take place at Just Tumble on the top floor of the Conti Building, 415 Howe Ave.
After O’Connor’s presentation there, children will be ushered downstairs to Written Words to meet her one-on-one and have books autographed.
CrazyFun Face Painting, Bring the Hoopla and Anna’s Nail Spa will offer activities during the event.
The event is free and open to the public. (Parents should note that street shoes will not be allowed on the mats at Just Tumble.)
