Fish fry pulls in a steady crowd at Shelton church
The First United Methodist Church of Shelton hosted a Lenten fish fry on Friday evening, attracting a steady crowd of diners.
“We’re doing really well,” said the Rev. Heather Sinclair. “Lots of neighbors and friends are coming back and there’s also many new faces.”
The dinners of fried or baked fish continue through March 22 on Fridays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Take-out also is available at the church on Rocky Rest Road, near Long Hill Avenue.
The meal also includes choice of potato, pasta, homemade coleslaw, dessert and beverage. No reservations are needed. Cost is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors (60 and older), and free for children 14 and younger.
