Former SHS teacher charged with Disorderly Conduct on student

On Sept. 8, 57 year old George Perduta of Kensington turned himself into police for an active arrest warrant. Perduta was charged with Disorderly Conduct and released on a $500 bond. Perduta was given a court date of Sept. 22 in Derby Court.

The arrest came from a complaint that was received in April. A 17 year old female student from Shelton High School reported that she went out to dinner with George Perduta. Perduta was a teacher at Shelton High School when this incident occurred.

The victim claims that Perduta asked about their relationship status during dinner which made her uncomfortable. The victim reported that after dinner Perduta went to kiss her on the lips, but she moved her head down and he kissed her on the forehead.
