Former Yale chaplain speaks at Shelton church Sunday evening

The Rev. Frederick “Jerry” Streets, chaplain emeritus of Yale University, will give a talk on "Spiritual but not Religious" on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. at Huntington United Methodist Church, 338 Walnut Tree Hill Road.

The lecture, part of a series every Sunday in October at the same time, are free and open to the public. Speakers are professors from Yale University and Fairfield University.

Streets was Yale chaplain from 1992-2007 and now is senior pastor at the Dixwell Avenue Congregational United Church of Christ in New Haven. He previously was pastor of Mount Aery Baptist Church in Bridgeport from 1975-1992.

A question-and-answer period and light reception will follow each lecture.
