The Huntington Branch Library in Shelton hosted an open house focusing on Scotland on Saturday.

A steady flow of patrons dropped by during the three-hour event, which featured music, dancing, military re-enactors, history and genealogy information, children’s activities, and food samples from local restaurants.

Shawn Fields, branch director, said the annual open house attracts many people who don’t regularly visit the library and provides exposure to local restaurants.

The event has a different theme every year.
