Imetovski named Senior Counsel at Berchem, Moses & Devlin, P.C

Desi Imetovski, a resident of Shelton, has joined Berchem, Moses & Devlin, P.C. as Senior Counsel in the Business Services Department, concentrating in the area of Affordable Housing and Community & Economic Development. She formerly served as Assistant Chief Disciplinary Counsel for the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch where she ensured attorney compliance with the Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct. Prior to her position with the state judicial branch, Attorney Imetovski owned and managed her own law firm where she represented individuals and businesses in the purchase, sale and refinance of residential and commercial properties for almost a decade.

In her new role, Attorney Imetovski will provide legal representation and services to public housing authorities, municipalities, and private developers. The redevelopment of low-income public housing involves many facets of legal expertise including in-depth knowledge of state and federal laws, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) finance programs, Low Income Housing Tax Credit programs, bond financing and other complex legal tools.

Desi Imetovski is a regular presenter and panelist at numerous seminars for the Connecticut Bar Association as well as for community and trade groups in the areas of legal ethics, real estate transactions and landlord tenant law. She is a graduate of Sacred Heart University and the Quinnipiac University School of Law where she was recognized with the Outstanding Woman Law Graduate, Service to the Law School, Service to the Community, and the Advanced Bankruptcy Distinguished Academic Achievement awards. Attorney Imetovski is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut.
