Many dozens of youngsters — boys and girls — turned out at the five-hour event to play soccer games. They were joined by their parents and other adults, with most participants active in the winter indoor soccer league at the Lower Naugatuck Valley Boys & Girls Club.
Kristjan Ndoj, 15, was shot at March 15 in a Shelton driveway and later died from his injuries. The Shelton High sophomore played on the B-2 Bombers team in the Boys & Girls Club soccer league, including in the last game of the season three days before the incident that took his life.
