Learn about Serial, the most popular podcast ever, today on HAN programming

Were you one of millions of people hooked on Serial?

Serial was the most popular podcast in the world last year, and people can find out more about it through Hersam Acorn today at noon.

The Connecticut Forum will host the creators of the wildly popular podcast in June, giving a behind-the-scenes look at what went into creating the 12-part series about a 1999 Baltimore murder case.

Jamie Daniel, director of programming with The Connecticut Forum, will be a guest on this Friday’s “Behind the News,” on HAN Radio and the Hersam Acorn Network.

Daniel will be discussing the event, “Bingeworthy Journalism: Backstage with the Creators of Serial,” coming June 10 to the Bushnell Auditorium in Hartford. The forum will feature Serial co-creators Sarah Koenig and Julie Snyder.

Daniel will also discuss The Connecticut Forum, a nonprofit entity that offers live, unscripted panel discussions with renowned experts and celebrities.

Listen to “Behind the News” at noon, Friday, May 1 at www.HanRadio.com or on the Hersam Acorn Network at www.hanradio.com/livestream. Both are accessible on the Home page of www.SheltonHerald.com (look for the icons in the upper right).
