Connecticut Emergency Animal Response Service (EARS) will hold a free presentation Tuesday in Shelton.

An EARS representative will talk about the work they do, as a rapid-response team, capable of assisting with animal emergencies and emergency services.

They will talk about those who work with animals, as well as owners of animals, in providing knowledge about emergency preparedness, pet first-aid and animal safety.

The public is invited to the presentation on Tuesday, June 2 at 7 p.m. at Apple Lakes Rehab, 5 Lake Road.

EARS was established following Hurricane Irene and Blizzard Alfred in 2011, which resulted in dire situations that impacted animals in the state.

Presentation is sponsored by the Trap Falls Kennel Club. For information, email info@trapfalls.org.
