Spanish with Sandra – Thursday, March 3, 4:30 (ages 3-5) and 5 p.m. (ages 6-8) Children and their caregivers learn Spanish through interactive songs, games, stories and other activities. Registration is required for this series that runs from March 10 through May 5.
Show-and-Tell Stories - Friday, March 4, 10:30 a.m. Children of all ages listen to Miss Marissa read stories, then enjoy a craft or a game. Participants are encouraged to bring along a show-and-tell item.
First Friday Book Discussion - Friday, March 4 , 1 p.m. Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah explores how three Russian women find each other and themselves, join the discussion today while enjoying light refreshments; copies available.
Cookie Archaeology - Monday, March 7, 4:45 p.m. Go on an archaeological dig - inside a cookie! Young scientists, ages 5-9, excavate chocolate chips while learning how archaeologists search for artifacts left behind by people from the past; register now.
Bouncing Babies & Jumping Beans - Tuesday, March 8, 10:30 a.m. and again at 11 a.m. Snuggly wee ones and energetic toddlers (infants to age 3) are invited to join Miss Marissa for scarves, maracas, stories, and bubbles!
Shelton Reading Circle - Tuesday, March 8, 6:30 p.m. The Shelton Historical Society sponsors this book discussion group which was originally founded in 1894 and met in members’ homes to read aloud while doing charity work for community causes. Friends’ Spring Book Sale - Thursday, March 10, 10 a.m. Friends of the Shelton Libraries offer large selections of gently used books, cds, and movies during regular library hours. Thursday sale hours until 7:00 p.m., continues Friday, March 11 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Saturday, March 12 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Come and browse, purchases support our library activities.

Be prepared to discuss the book and engage in a hands-on activity based on the person of the book. Copies of this month’s book, Who Is Malala Yousafzai? are at the Children’s Desk for check-out one month prior to the book club session.

Lego Challenge: Alien - Saturday, March 12, 1 p.m. Back by popular demand! Kids of all ages are challenged to create an alien! Drop in with your imagination, we provide the Legos and Duplos for this free program. All creations are on display for the next month until the April Challenge meeting.
