Local Knights plan youth soccer competition in Shelton
The Knights of Columbus local council will hold its 2013 Soccer Challenge on Saturday, Sept. 28 at noon at the Shelton High School soccer field.
The Bernardo Council 1350’s annual goal-shooting competition is open to all boys and girls ages 10 to 14, with different age divisions. Participation is free. Rain date is Sept. 29.
All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in the event. Youngsters are required to furnish proof of age and written parental consent.
Winners progress through local, district and state competitions. International champions are announced by K of C headquarters in New Haven, based on scores from the state-level competitions.
