Local family farm sells produce at Shelton Farmers’ Market

Laurel Glen Farm is on Waverly Road. The family-owned enterprise began as a dairy farm in the early 1900s, and now offers many kinds of vegetables, including a CSA (community-assisted agriculture) program, where people pay a set amount to receive vegetables throughout the growing season.

The Shelton Farmers’ Market now is open for the season. Hours are Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and Wednesdays from 3-6:30 p.m.
The market takes place in the Shelton Farmers’ Market building and plaza, at Canal and Cornell streets, which is near the Riverwalk.
The market offers fresh, local vegetables and fruits as well as other products.
