Masonicare home health and hospice
Masonicare is gathering people for its fall training in the greater Shelton-Newtown area. Their classes cover the history and philosophy of hospice, the role of the volunteer, clinical aspects of dying, communication skills, family dynamics, issues of spirituality and religion, as well as grief and bereavement.
The training is offered free of charge and participants have been impressed by the life lessons presented by our team, according to a press release. Once trained, the volunteers set their own time schedules and receive ongoing support from Masonicare’s hospice team.
For more information on how to become part of this training, call Sue Laughlin, volunteer coordinator, at 203 831-8882.
