Mayor’s Golf Classic on Sept. 16 benefits charities serving Shelton
The Mayor’s Annual Golf Classic will take place Monday, Sept. 16 at Brownson Country Club in Shelton.
The event with Mayor Mark Lauretti will raise funds for the Shelton Youth Service Bureau, Boy Scouts, Spooner House, St. Joseph’s School, St. Lawrence School and BHCare Inc.
Registration and lunch are at 11:30 a.m., with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start on the golf course. The four-person scramble format will include competitions for longest drive and closest to the pin as well as a Curtiss-Ryan-sponsored hole-in-one contest.
A social hour and dinner will follow the 18-hole tournament at 5:30.
Entry fees are $180 per participant, including golf, cart, lunch and dinner. Non-golfers can attend for $75. Various levels of sponsorship are available.
