Men Who Cook fund-raising event Saturday to help out local causes
Men from Shelton and elsewhere in the Lower Naugatuck Valley will put on their aprons for the annual Men Who Cook fund-raising event for TEAM Inc.
On April 26 from 6-11 p.m., there will be more than 60 Valley men cooking for a cause —everything from shrimp and grits to porketta and chicken pot pie. (See a list of the cooks at the end of this article.)
Men Who Cook will be at Warsaw Park in Ansonia, and tickets are $55 per person, which includes food, beer/wine and soft drinks; bid at the silent auction and dance. The marquee sponsor for Men Who Cook is Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan and the Bassett Family Fund.
Chairmen for this event are Charles Sullivan, David Grant and Jeff Westine. Special MC for the event is Chaz of Chaz and AJ in the morning on 99.1 WPLR.
