Anthony, a college student majoring in history, is following in her mother’s footsteps as a historical society volunteer. “This is a great way to learn about history outside of classes,” she said.
The historical society operates the Shelton History Center at 70 Ripton Road, close to the Huntington Green. The center is a museum with six historical buildings. The nonprofit organization also sponsors programs of historical interest to the community.
