Eli had just asked Santa. “Do you have an elf?”

Santa thanked each child for the donation of the new, unwrapped toy and shared with them how, thanks to their kindness, other children will have gifts to open this holiday season.

Hot chocolate, cookies and games were available for all visitors during Meet Santa Day. There also was a story time when Marcia Austin, director of Huntington Branch Library, read Christmas stories to the children.

All toys and other donations will be distributed through TEAM Toys 4 Kids to bring smiles to countless young girls and boys in Shelton and elsewhere in the lower Valley.

Supporting organizations of Meet Santa Daywere Echo Hose Ambulance, Shelton Volunteer Fire Companies 3 and 4, and the Huntington Branch Library.
