PHOTOS: Shelton resident gets Christmas tour of decorated White House
Jimmy Tickey of Shelton, above, was able to take a Christmas tour of the White House in December. The White House holiday theme this year was "A Child's Winter Wonderland."
Tickey toured the entire East Wing, and saw the official White House Christmas tree that was decorated to honor the service of U.S. troops, veterans and military families.
Many of the rooms he visited had decorated Christmas trees in them.
Tickey serves on the Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission, and previously was on the city Board of Apportionment and Taxation.
He also serves as campaign manager for U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, a Democrat now in her 13th term. DeLauro’s congressional district includes a part of Shelton.
