Paugussett Tribe’s history explored during upcoming presentation

A talk about the Paugussett Tribe is planned for Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Trumbull Library.

Bridgeport historian and preservation specialist Charles Brilvitch will lead the 7 p.m. presentation.

In his 2007 book, "A History of Connecticut’s Golden Hill Paugusset Tribe, Brilvitch traces the lives of the Paugussett" people from their earliest days. The story follows the tribe from when they made up a sizable portion of western Connecticut, through the 1980s.

The library is at 33 Quality St. in Trumbull. The presentation is free. Refreshments will be served. Donations accepted. For more at
