Pie time at the Shelton Farmers’ Market

Oronoque Farms is located at 188 Leavenworth Road (Route 110), in Shelton’s White Hills neighborhood.
The company started in the late 1940s when hand-baked pies were sold from a roadside stand. Oronoque Orchards was in Stratford, and later moved to Shelton after a fire destroyed the original bakery. Learn more at www.oronoquefarms.com.
The Shelton Farmers’ Market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and Wednesdays from 3-6:30 p.m. It takes place in the Shelton Farmers’ Market building and plaza, at Canal and Cornell streets, which is near the Riverwalk in the downtown area.
The market offers fresh, local fruits and vegetables as well as other products, including Oronoque Farms pies.
