Rec department holding basketball sessions

The Shelton Parks and Recreation Department is holding two basketball programs, held at Shelton High School, 120 Meadow Street.

The coed gym time for basketball is a supervised program is for male and female residents of high school age. There is no charge, and basketballs will be provided. Sessions are 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 6-20 and Tuesday, Nov. 25.

The other program is the adult Sunday morning open gym for basketball, Nov. 30-April 12, 9-11:30 a.m. Cost is $40 to participate. After Feb. 1 is $25. This session is for participants 18 years and older, a Shelton resident or a full-time worker in Shelton to qualify to play.

Participants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and be a Shelton resident, or a full time worker in Shelton to qualify to play.  Participants must register at the parks and recreation department in the community center, 41 Church Street and be issued a photo ID card. Basketballs will be provided.
