SATURDAY: Shelton High alumni class remembers Sandy Hook victim
The Shelton High School Class of 1981 invites members of the community to attend the second annual fundraiser event in memory of Jesse McCord Lewis, son of their classmate Neil Heslin of Shelton and Scarlett Lewis of Newtown.
Jesse was one of the 20 Sandy Hook Elementary School children and six educators who were killed in 2012. The event will be held at the Stone Barn in Monroe on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 7-11 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit the Jesse Lewis Memorial Scholarship awarded annually to a graduating senior at Shelton High School.
The event will include appetizers, buffet dinner, dessert, cash bar, auction items and prizes. Entertainment will be provided by Lost Rebel, a Southern rock band, and Beer Money, a party band.
Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased in advance by check, payable to the Stone Barn and mailed to Cindy Lesher Fox, 8 Huntington St., Box 142, Shelton, CT 06484. Tickets can also be purchased at the door via cash, check or credit card payment.
