Shelton DECA struts its stuff
Just before the 2013 snow storm Nemo, Shelton High School held its annual DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) Fashion show on Thursday, Feb. 8, in the school’s Percy Kingsley Auditorium.
The show featured numerous student performances and even the school’s headmaster, Dr. Beth Smith, strutted her way onto the runway during the teacher’s walk, where staff members modeled and showed off their own fashions and personal sense of style.
The show’s theme for this year was Make it Work Project Runway: DECA Edition, modeled after Tim Gunn’s popular slogan “Make it Work” on the television show Project Runway. The show had a turnout of over 200 audience members and the money raised will help send interested DECA members to the DECA state career development conference being held in Southington at the end of this month.
