Shelton artists to show work at juried show

The Bridgeport Art League is holding its 80th annual juried art show from April 2 to 29 at the Milford Public Library, 57 New Haven Ave., Milford. It is open for viewing during regular library hours.

Artists from Shelton, Bridgeport, Milford, Monroe, Stratford, Trumbull and other towns are represented in all mediums.

They include (with hometowns):

— Shelton:  Jack Conti, Cynthia Barrett and Dolores Herlihy

— Easton:  Joyce Pedersen

— Monroe:  Irena Dzierzbinski and Betty Hall

— Stratford:  Barbara Stewart

— Trumbull:  Karen Hayes, Barbara Hilinski, Marilyn Mitchell and Carol Ann Pisani.

Public reception set for April 12

A reception will take place Saturday, April 12 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m., with an awards presentation at noon. It is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

The Bridgeport Art League has its monthly meetings in Shelton at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church parish center on the Huntington Green. The meetings feature art demonstrations and talks.
