Shelton resident continues his Eagle Scout project
Shelton Scout Angelo Ciambriello from Troop 101 returned to the spot where he earned Eagle Scout rank to help keep up a playground he created.
Ciambriello earned his Eagle Scout badge in September 2012. He chose to work with the Boys & Girls Club where he “built” a permanent playground on their blacktop. The area was first power-washed and divided into three equal sections prior to placing the games on the blacktop.
Some of the games included several hopscotch games, shuffle board, multi-use circle, bean bag game, Four-Squares, calculator grid and an alphabet grid.
Ciambriello recently visited the Boys & Girls Club and voluntarily sharpened up the games with fresh paint that had faded during the seasonal months. He has committed himself to providing the club with this service on a yearly basis.
He currently attends Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in secondary education, with a focus in mathematics.
