Shelton resident elected treasurer of Operation Fuel
Shelton resident Rev. Hopeton Scott of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport was named the organization's treasurer.
Operation Fuel provides energy assistance throughout Connecticut to lower-income working families, elderly and disabled individuals who are in need of help and not eligible for energy assistance from government-funded programs. Operation Fuel is located at 75 Charter Oak Ave. in Hartford.
Also elected to officer positions on the board were Matt Service, president of Service Internet Solutions, as, vice chair and Jenny Comerford, director of ERM Strategy at The Hartford, as secretary.
Nancy Bulkeley, senior community affairs representative for Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, was elected chairperson of Operation Fuel's board of directors. Bulkeley has been on Operation Fuel’s board since 2010.
Two new board members also were elected: Monika Doshi, principal and founder of Saath, a public health consulting firm in West Hartford; and Laura Gonzalez, director of credit and collections at the United Illuminating Co.
