New England Ballet Company is celebrating its 26th season with its performance of the annual family holiday classic, The Nutcracker, under the artistic direction of Victor Trevino. Clara's dream is brought to life in a large cast production with exquisite costumes and dazzling choreography by Victor Trevino. The cast consists of company dancers, students of New England Dance Arts School and members of the community. Shelton residents twelve-year-old Audrey Maco and her sister fifteen-year-old Vanessa will be performing several roles in all three shows. You can see the girls in the festive party scene and the iconic snow scene and waltz of the flowers. They have worked hard juggling school work and rehearsals. This year the company has three public performances at The Klein Theater, 910 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport on Saturday Dec. 19 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. Tickets start at $20 and are available through the website www.newenglandballet.org.
