Admission included food and live music by the Straight Jackets, a band from western Connecticut. There also were raffles, door prizes and a cash bar. Many players’ parents and other adult friends of the team attended.
Proceeds will be used to pay for scholarships and miscellaneous costs related to team activities. More than $1,000 was raised at the event, organizers said.
