Sheton Rec Notes: Youth wanted to get dancing
Kids ages 6-13 are invited to Jazz It Up Dance to demonstrate fancy footwork, big leaps and quick terms.
Current pop and hip-hop music will be used to teach warm-ups, across the floor progressions and combinations. Students will showcase their dancing on their final viewing day, when families come to watch their dancer perform.
Classes start Saturday, May 10, and run seven weeks for $56. No class on July 4.
• Classes for ages 6-10 is 9:45-10:30 a.m.
• Classes for ages 10-13 is 12:45-1:30 p.m.
Jazz shoes may be purchased at Payless, organizers said. Ages 5-9, Instructor: Julie Arcos, member/certified teacher of Dance Educators of America and co-director of Kicks Dance Center.
