The Sunset Run for the Warriors is happening today in Shelton, and here is some information about the event.
General registration for participants registering in person is $20, Veteran/Active Duty registration is $15, and the Kids’ Race registration is $10.
This run has something for everyone: food, live music, raffle items, inflatables, and more.
Gold Star Parents of Andrew Pedersen-Keel, Bob and Helen Keiser, will be attending.
Race location is at the Huntington Green, 41 Church Street. Some road closures will be happening in the area.

Volunteer Check-In: 2-3 p.m.
Packet Pick Up and Same Day Registration: 2–4:30 p.m.
Opening Ceremony: 4–5 p.m.
Kid’s Race: 4:30 p.m.
10K Start: 5 p.m.
5K Start: 5:05 p.m.
1-Mile Run/Walk Start: 5:10 p.m
Awards Ceremony and Celebration will follow

Vendors
Dad’s Food Truck will have a variety of burgers, hot dogs, and grilled cheeses available for purchase. A Mister Softee ice cream truck will also be there. A portion of the sales from these vendors will be donated to Hope For The Warriors.
Entertainment
The band Straightjackets and RJ the DJ will be performing at the finish line.
Parking
Free Parking is available across the street from the Green behind The Common Bond Market on Huntington Street.
Awards
Awards will be announced and presented to the top three male and female participants overall and in each age category. Check the results posting board to see if you are to receive an award to avoid congestion at the awards table. Hope For The Warriors will not be responsible for mailing awards. Raffle prizes will be given out after the awards are announced.
