Teaching soccer skills and boosting charity at Shelton camp

The Shelton High School girls soccer team hosted its annual Little Kickers Camp from July 7 to 11.

The camp was led by Coach Jim Ferro and 2014 team captains Laurel Bailey, Carly Shomsky and Alexis Zoppi, as well as numerous volunteers from the high school soccer team.

For the past nine years, Ferro has dedicated his time to the rising soccer stars of Shelton.

A portion of camp proceeds go to charity and to scholarships for the high school soccer girls. This year, the camp raised $1,000 for the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital.
