Teresa Younger of Shelton is named Toll Fellow
Teresa Younger of Shelton, executive director of Connecticut’s Permanent Commission on the Status of Women, was among 48 national Council of State Governments’ Henry Toll Fellows for the Class of 2013.
The Shelton resident joins other Toll alumni from Connecticut named to the program, which was created to improve effectiveness and leadership in state government.
The Toll Fellowship Program brings together some of the nation’s top officials from all three branches of state government for an intensive six-day, five-night “intellectual boot camp.”
Younger looks forward to the exchange of ideas with colleagues from across the country.
“No one can work in a vacuum, and the ability to meet and network with professionals from across the country — and from all three branches of government — will prove fertile ground for cross-referencing experiences and will be invaluable to the work I do with the General Assembly,” she said.
