Thirteen stores in Shelton are taking part in Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30.
American Express cardholders can register online at ShopSmall.com through Nov. 30. Once registered, cardholders who spend $10 or more at a qualifying small business location that appears on the Small Business Saturday Map on Small Business Saturday will receive a one-time $10 statement credit.

• Huntington Street Café, 90 Huntington Street.
• Mother’s Embrace Yoga, 194 Leavenworth Road.
• Nikki’s Candy Boutique, 93 Center Street.
• Positiv-A-Tea, Shelton.
• Precision Tune Auto Care, 475 River Road.
• Stockbridge’s Gourmet Cheesecakes & Café, 509 Howe Avenue.
• Studio V Fitness, 865 River Road.
• Written Words Books & Gifts, 482 River Road.
How the contest works
Shoppers must visit eight out of the 13 businesses on Saturday, answer a question at each business, have their pamphlets stamped and spend a minimum of $60 total at the locations.
If they have done this, they may enter to win a $200 gift certificate to one of the participating businesses.
Shoppers who visit all 13 participating businesses will be entered into an additional drawing for a $25 gift certificate to Written Words Books & Gifts.
