This weekend in Shelton: Fish fry, dinner and a hike

Annual Lenten fish fry — Held at First United Methodist Church is at 188 Rocky Rest Road, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Fridays through March 22. Meal includes baked or fried fish, choice of potato, pasta, homemade coleslaw, dessert and beverage. No reservations are needed. Dine in or take out. Cost is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors (60 and older) and children 14 and younger are free. Call 203-929-3537 for more details, or visit umcshelton.org. Saturday, March 9
St. Patrick’s Day dinner dance — Fund-raiser from 7–11 p.m. at the St. Lawrence School gymnasium, 503 Shelton Avenue. Catered food provided by David Grant Caterers, and includes Irish and non-Irish favorites. Cost is $35 per person. Attendees must be 21 or older. Sunday, March 10
Marshmallow march — Starts at 1 p.m. at Nicholdale Farm, Shelton Land Trust property on Route 110 in White Hills. Shelton Trails Committee will lead a hike to a roaring campfire with marshmallows and hot chocolate waiting for you. Children and leashed dogs welcome. The parking lot is to the right (west) of the yellow house at 322 Leavenworth Road.
