This weekend in Shelton: Shakespeare, flea market, auction and more

Auditions for the Valley Shakespeare Festival’s presentation of The Comedy of Errors will be Saturday, May 4, 11-2 p.m. at the Shelton Community Center, 41 Church Street.
Auditioners should prepare to recite a memorized — at least a one minute classical monologue — preferably Shakespeare, and to also tell a joke. For more information, or if you cannot attend, contact Tom Simonetti at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rabies vaccination clinic
Friends of the Shelton Animal Shelter will hold its annual rabies vaccination clinic Saturday, May 4 from 2-4 p.m. at the Shelton Farmer's Market, 100 Canal St. The cost is $12 per pet, cash only.
Anyone bringing proof of a prior rabies vaccination will receive a three-year certificate. All dogs must be leashed and all cats must be in carriers.

The Shelton Community Lions Club holds a flea market on Saturday, May 4. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 405 Bridgeport Ave. Rain date is Saturday, May 11. All proceeds will benefit local people in need. For information call Debbie at 203-925-1777 or email email@example.com.
