Linda Farber and Val Szendy have been named town ambassadors for Shelton in the inaugural Komen Connecticut Race for the Cure, scheduled for Saturday, May 11 at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport.
The role of a town ambassador is to raise awareness about breast cancer and the Race for the Cure. “We live here. We race here. We save lives here,” is the phrase being used to motivate volunteers to get involved in the fund-raising event.
