The Shelton Trails Committee will hold a Saturday work party to construct a new hiking trail near Shelton Intermediate School.

Anyone interested in assisting should go to the SIS parking lot at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. The school is at 675 Constitution Blvd. North.

Volunteers will continue working on the creation of a bypass trail from the corner of Shelton Avenue (Route 108) and Constitution Boulevard to the back of SIS.

People should bring loppers, pruners and rakes, if they have them, or they will be provided. Gloves, long pants, and water-proof footwear are recommended.

“Come take part in the creation of a new trail!” organizers said.
