Valley United Way annual recognition dinner is Tuesday
Valley United Way will hold its 46th annual meeting and recognition dinner Tuesday, April 29 at Grassy Hill Lodge in Derby.
The event will honor Joe Andreana, winner of the 44th Charles H. Flynn Humanitarian Award. Registration and social time begins at 5:15 p.m. followed by dinner and meeting at 6.
Active with many groups
has been involved with many local nonprofit organizations, including the Valley United Way, where he was on the board of directors and Executive Committee. He chaired the United Way’s annual community fund-raising campaigns in 2002 and 2003.
The Oxford resident has been active at Griffin Health Services, Lower Naugatuck Valley Boys & Girls Club, Katharine Matthies Foundation, Valley Advisory Committee to the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, United Methodist Frontier Foundation, and United Methodist Homes Foundation.
Youth, families and people in crisis
Valley United Way supports and creates initiatives addressing youth, families and people in crisis in Shelton, Ansonia, Derby, Oxford and Seymour.
