Volunteers wanted to promote ‘Live Well’ sessions
The Southwestern CT Agency on Aging seeks professionals and volunteers to be trained as workshop leaders for Live Well, a nationwide evidence based health promotion program.
Developed by Stanford University, Live Well is a community-based six week workshop series (meeting once a week) for older adults and caregivers who want to learn ways to manage their diabetes, arthritis, lung and heart disease, anxiety, depression and any chronic pain.
Participants attend a free four day training, and no prior experience is necessary. To register for the orientation scheduled for April 3 from 10-11 a.m. at Southwestern CT Agency on Aging in Bridgeport, contact Gretchen James at 203-814-3620 or email@example.com.
The Live Well Leader Training is scheduled for April 24 and 25, and May 1 and 2 at the same location.
Live Well is sponsored by Southwestern CT Agency on Aging, the State Department on Aging, and the Connecticut Department Of Public Health.
