What are most luxurious places to eat and stay overnight in CT?
Triple A has awarded Five Diamond and Four Diamond ratings to 16 establishments in Connecticut in the lodging and dining categories.
Just two venues received the top-rated Five Diamonds — the Winvian resort in Morris for lodging and its restaurant, and the Mayflower Grace Inn in Washington for lodging. Both businesses are in small rural towns in southern Litchfield County.
Every year, AAA recognizes restaurants and lodging facilities for offering what it calls “world-class service, facilities and amenities.”
Four and Five Diamond award ratings are the AAA’s highest designations for hotel properties and restaurants. Just 0.3% of the total 59,000 AAA-approved lodgings and restaurants in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean receive Five Diamonds, while 3.9% receive Four Diamonds.
