What do you do when stroke strikes? St. Vincent’s Medical Center is hosting an informative lecture titled “When Stroke Strikes: The Basics of Stroke Prevention and Life After Stroke.”
The event will be on Thursday, May 22, from noon–1 p.m. at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, 2800 Main St., Bridgeport, in the Hawley Conference Center on the fourth floor of the cancer center adjacent to the hospital.
Recent research, prevention practices
The featured speaker, Dr. Srinath Kadimi, will discuss strokes, the most recent research findings and the most effective prevention practices, diagnosis and treatment strategies. Kadimi, medical director of St. Vincent’s Stoke Center, is board certified and specializes in neurology and neurology-psychiatry.
Kadimi received his medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India and performed his internship in the Department of Medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Kadimi completed his residency in neurology at the University of Alabama and a fellowship at the University of Alabama Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Has a Fairfield practice
Kadimi has a private practice in Fairfield and has published numerous studies in the Journal of Neuroimaging, Neurology, Annals of Neurology and others. His work has been presented at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Society of Neuroimaging.
Kadimi is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation, and light refreshments will be provided.
