Creative Juices - Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1 p.m. Need a mental break from your job, time away from your kids (or spouse), or just want to get out of the house? Drop into this new adult program series featuring activities to relax, amaze, stimulate and entertain. For one hour leave your problems outside and bring an open mind.
Toddler Movement - Wednesday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7, 11 a.m. Miss Robin returns with this fun, active 30 minute musical program for children ages 2 1/2 - 4 and caregivers; register now, sessions run for the entire month.
Stories with Danielle - Thursday, Dec. 1, 11 a.m. Join Danielle as she engages children, ages 3 to 4, with this drop-in storybook session.
Spanish with Sandra - Thursday, Dec. 1, 4:30 p.m. Children, ages 3-6, and their caregivers learn Spanish through songs, games, stories, and other fun activities; register for the month.
Show-and- Tell Stories - Friday, Dec. 2, 10:30 a.m. Children of all ages listen to Miss Marissa read stories, then, enjoy a craft or a game! Participants are encouraged to bring along a show-and- tell item.
Meet Santa Day - Saturday, Dec. 3, 9:30 a.m. Drop in to meet Santa and enjoy listening to Christmas stories and making a festive craft. Please bring along an unwrapped toy to donate to TEAM. This event is sponsored by TEAM, the Huntington Branch Library, and some of Shelton’s volunteer fire companies.
Stick Man: A Christmas Story - Monday, Dec. 5, 4:45 p.m. Kids in grades K-4 listen to this quirky
story about a Stick Man who needs Santa’s help to be reunited with his Stick family. Then, participate in festive STEM challenges to construct a mini Christmas tree, a paper stocking, and more; register now.
Bouncing Babies & Jumping Beans - Tuesday, December 6, 10:30 a.m.& 11 a.m. Snuggly wee ones and energetic toddlers (infants to age 3) are invited to join Miss Marissa for scarves, maracas, stories, and bubbles!

Holiday Closing – Thursday Nov. 24 both libraries are closed for Thanksgiving. They are also closed on Friday, Nov. 25 but will re-open for regular schedules on Saturday, Nov. 26. The libraries will close at 3 pm. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 for the start of the Thanksgiving holiday. The outside book and media bins remain open during library closed hours for return of items. The library website, www.sheltonlibrarysystem.org is available 24/7 for access to personal records, library catalogs, downloadable audio and ebooks plus research databases.
Book In a Jar – Thursday, Nov. 24, 9 a.m. Prove how well you know a book by its cover –a book cover shredded and inside a sealed jar – can YOU identify it? One correct answer chosen each week for a prize, contest continues through November with a new book each week.
Budding Bookworms – Mondays, Nov. 28 and Dec.5, 10:30 a.m. Monday story time for Pre-schools kids and caregivers is back! Drop in with Miss Maura for a themed story and craft, then Freezer Dance and Do Re Mi. A great way to begin your week.
Books@Noon - Monday, Nov. 28, 12 p.m. New book discussion group for adults on fourth Mondays at noon. This month’s title is Empire Falls by Richard Russo, copies may be available; finishing the book is not required. Group meets in handicapped accessible ground floor meeting room; bring along lunch and the library will offer beverage and dessert, new members welcome.
Fun for Little Ones - Tuesdays, Nov. 29 and Dec. 6, 10:30 a.m. Drop in with Mrs. Fritsch for pre-
school stories, songs and a special theme-related craft. Siblings always welcome.
Knit! – Tuesdays, Nov. 29 and Dec. 6, 6 p.m. Adult fiber fans meet to knit, crochet and chat, lots of support and fellowship in this drop in group, stop in and bring a friend.

Life is Art - Thursdays, Dec. 1 and 8, 6 p.m. Tweens ages 10 and up create a variety of projects with upcycled materials; drop in and express your inner artist!
Stay & Play – Fridays, Dec. 2 and 9, 10:30 a.m. Kids ages 0-5 and their caregivers share an open play time with library’s age appropriate toys, adults can chat over snacks; drop in and bring a friend.
Teen Volunteer Orientation - Saturday, Dec.3, 10 a.m. All teens wishing to volunteer at Plumb Library must attend an orientation. Anyone who has attended a past orientation does not need to attend again. The two hours at orientation count as two volunteering hours. Please contact Adam for more details.
Word Wizards – Saturday, Dec. 3, 10:30 a.m. Special weekend story time for kids and caregivers who are busy during the week! This is a drop-in program geared toward kids 1-5 years old and their caregivers but older siblings are welcome to attend. We read a story, create a craft and dance of course!
Blockheads Club – Saturday, Dec. 3, 1 p.m.. Drop in and bring your imagination to build with library Legos. All ages welcome, Lego creations will be displayed in library for one month. but cannot be taken home.
SCABGCA - Thursday, Dec. 15, 6 p.m. Regional chapter of the state antique bottle and glass collectors association meets, new members welcome.
Home Delivery – Shelton residents who cannot get to the library due to temporary or permanent
