Karlo Hocurscak didn\u2019t start off on the journey to serve as a priest, but on May 24, he was ordained as a diocesan priest. Karlo, son of Shelton residents John and Nancy Hocurscak, attended schools in the Shelton district until April 1987, to the sixth grade. fter graduating high school, he went on to Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he received his bachelor\u2019s degree in chemical engineering. While attending WPI, Karlo served as a lector and Eucharistic Minister at the campus Masses. After graduating from college, he found work as a chemical engineer. As time went on, Karlo thought more and more about entering the seminary. In 2008, he entered Saint John\u2019s Seminary. Karlo was ordained to the Transitional Diaconate on Jan. 18 this year.
