The new head of the Diocese of Bridgeport \u2014\u00a0Bishop Frank Caggiano \u2014 will be installed into his new post Thursday, Sept. 19. He replaces Bishop William E. Lori, who was transferred to lead Baltimore Catholics more than a year ago. Caggiano said he returned to his lessons from the seminary. \u201cIf it is God\u2019s will, I\u2019m doing everything God\u2019s way. No matter what the challenges,\u201d he said. Caggiano, who has a Facebook group page, also plans on setting up a Twitter account to communicate with the diocese, which will become active the day of his installation as the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport. The installation will be at St. Theresa in Trumbull, beginning at 1:30 p.m. According to the diocese\u2019s website, invitations were sent to people throughout the diocese, and those who accepted the invitation through RSVP received tickets to the installation. The installation is expected to be able to be viewed on television beginning at 2 p.m., according to the diocese website. The included stations are: EWTN, NETny and Catholic TV. Bishop Caggiano will be welcomed to the diocese at a Vespers Prayer Service Wednesday, Sept. 18, 7 p.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport. More info: bridgeportdiocese.com.
