A food writer will be in Shelton to sign copies of his books on Saturday, June 6. Mike Urban will be at Written Words, 415 Howe Ave., Suite 888, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Urban is no stranger to professional writing and the publishing industry. He is the former vice president and associate publisher of Globe Pequot Press, is currently a contributor to yankeemagazine.com, a book editor and packager, and author of several books. Urban will be signing two books, The New England Diner Cookbook: Classic and Creative Recipes from the Finest Roadside Eateries, and Lobster Shacks: A Road Guide to New England\u2019s Best Lobster Joints. Both were published by Countryman Press. The event is free and open to the public. All books presented for signing must be purchased from Written Words Bookstore. Written Woods, an independent bookstore that opened almost eight years ago in Shelton, recently moved to its new location in the Conti Building in downtown Shelton.
